Hey guys!


I'm pretty new to Minecraft as well as Mac.
I recently wanted to try out Minecraft on my new mac so I went to download the launcher on minecraft.net
When I open the launcher, Minecraft won't even start.
The message shown:

Any solutions?

You may need to reinstall the locally installed files that Minecraft puts into place.
To do so, run the following command in a terminal:

rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/{bin,texturepacks,launcher,resources,assets,libraries,versions,resourcepacks,options.txt,launcher_profiles.json,launcher.jar}

Afterwards, re-run Minecraft.
