I was loading a 256x256 resource pack when i crashed, I load Minecraft back up and I get that error, so I tried to just allocate more ram. I was at 1GB but i thought i would try 2GB, still nothing. I removed resource pack and just loaded the LIFE 128x128 one. I then unchecked the JVM argument box setting it to native MB allocation, i wanna say its around 400-500 MB now I can even play the game for long because I run out of memory.
I can add up to 850MB in the JVM argument, at 860 and beyond I get the error.
I have 16 GB of ram and im running it on an Nvidia 780Ti (SEUS is amazing) so I can run it all fine, it is just Java is being....bad.
You need to reinstall Java.
First, go to the Programs and Features in Control Panel. Uninstall everything that says Java in the name. Then, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to re-install Java.
Get Java 64-Bit.
