I recently had a malfunction with my laptop, and upgraded to a new computer. I redownloaded minecraft, for the first couple of hours I assumed it was working fine, it downloaded, launched, and was updating. Then i realized my internet connection was blocking secure sites, so minecraft couldnt update a couple things. I tweaked my connection, and updated my java to the latest update, and now it wont even open the launcher. I double click the icon, and the "minecraft" logo pops up on the scree, but then a window opens that says "updating launcher." The window stays open for all of a couple seconds, then closes, and nothing else happens. I've updated my drivers, ran as administrator, updated java, downgraded java, uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft and java, and nothing has solved my problem. Ive googled, and checked forums, but i cant find anybody with my problem, or answers to it. Any help is appreciated.
