My minecraft 1.7.4 is crashing and I don't know why. I am just normally playing on a Multiplayer server, and all of the sudden my Minecraft freezes, forcing me to restart my computer. This has happened 8 times today, and it is getting seriously annoying. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to stop it?
This happened to me awhile back when I attempted to go into Task Manager and set the priority to high. Java took up all of the system memory and the processor and graphics card were unable to run do to the lack of power, thus causing a freeze. Another problem may be that you have allocated to much RAM to Java. Java can sometimes become a memory hog, also causing freezes. If this is the problem, you can either set your RAM by going to the Minecraft Launcher > Edit Profile (bottom left corner) > JVM Arguments > and then type "-Xmx1G", allocating 1GB RAM to Minecraft. To de-allocate RAM from Java go to Start > type "Java" > Click Java (32 Bit) or Java (64 bit) > Go to the "Java" tab > click "view" > allocate preferred amount of RAM in MB. Hope this helped:)

Hi,
Does Minecraft freeze or does your system?
If it's Minecraft, please give us a WhatIsHang log.
