I posted this 4 days ago and didn't get a response, so I am hoping this time someone can help! I am seriously getting desperate at this point.
I have been unable to connect to a hosted Vanilla Minecraft server for about two week, and I could really use some help figuring out what is wrong. The host and I both use Hamachi, and according to it everything is good to go. I can Ping his address and get a response back immediately, and he is able to get into the server without an issue, but whenever I attempt to log into the server in Minecraft it states "Can't Connect to Server". I tried Direct Connecting, and I get this error: io.netty.channel.ConnectTimeoutException: Connection timed out:
I have uninstalled Minecraft twice and reinstalled clean with a new download, issue persists I have had the host delete my profile from the hosted world, issue persists I have uninstalled Hamachi and reinstalled, issue persists
I am using a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9.1 and the host is running on a Windows 7 PC, though I cannot imagine that has anything to do with it because we have never had this issue until about a week ago. We are both running Minecraft v.1.7.5. We have both tried reseting our routers, that hasn't helped. Also, the host does not have a firewall turned on at all.
Some further background info: The issue first occurred when attempting to install Forge on my Mac. Since then I have not been able to connect to any servers at all. I am posting in this forum because, since that time, I have completely removed all aspects of Minecraft from my Mac and started fresh and it is still not working. Basically we just want to get Vanilla Minecraft working again. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Is this issue with Hamachi something new? As I stated before, it was working fine up until a week ago. I just want to make sure that this isn't something that I did to screw up my game in any way.
Thanks so much for the help!

Hi,
Hamachi has been squatting on an IANA-allocated IP block (25.0.0.0/8). As such, Hamachi fundamentally conflicts with the internet itself.
If you are using Hamachi, use a different solution such as proper port forwarding, or a VPN.
