If I run Minecraft with the JVM flag "-Xmx3G", then I launch Google Chrome, my PC will sometimes lock up. This, by the way, happens with all versions.

Computer Info:
-OS:Windows 8
-Java: Latest(64/32)
-Processor(s): Dual Core Intel Celeron 877 @ 1.40 GHz 1.40 GHz
-RAM: 3.89 of 4.00 GB useable
-System Type: 64-bit OS, x64 based processorBy the way, I will check for driver updates, too.UPDATE: Update was needed, checking if it helps...

You're dedicating 3 out of the 4 gigabytes of RAM that you have on your PC to minecraft. It only leaves 1 gigabyte of RAM for all other processes such as Google Chrome, Skype, Virus Software, and even your desktop. Only leaving one gigabyte of RAM is probably not enough to keep everything running. Might I suggest lowering your minecraft RAM allocation to 2 or even 1 gigabyte or upgrade your system's RAM.
