Hey. When I started playing minecraft, it ran 60 fps for atleast a year. For some reason, the highest it can get is now 35 fps. I dont know why, but I can't get that high 60 fps as before anymore, and I didn't even do anything. Now when my sister is playing on the same laptop but different account (that means different minecraft %appdata% directory), she had a consistent 60 fps. I was wondering maybe I did something wrong that made my minecraft laggy, so I did everything I could, it still remains on an average 30fps. (with lagspikes to 0 fps every 10 minutes)
I run an intel core i5, windows 8 laptop with 8GB RAM.
Here's what I tried to fix it:
close other programs - failed
restart the computer - failed
open another saved world - failed
reinstall the game - failed
log in my minecraft account on my sister's account - still 30fps but when she plays it's 60
set priority to high - failed
decrease all graphics settings - failed
use optfine - failed
search for answers on google - failed
please help, it's been very frustrating and I need it fixed. thanks
