I'm sorry to put this up here, and I am not entirely certain if this is the place to do this. For the last 4 and a half hours I have been attempting to upgrade my graphic's, and when I finally was able to get this screen up:
It immediately crashes and I end up with this Exit Code Error:
Now I'm about as Tech Savvy as a Gold fish, so I would really appreciate some help with figuring out what Graphic thing I need to download. If it helps, here is my system data:
And the Intel Graphics thing that I've downloaded to get the Mojang window to pop up for a few seconds. The one highlighted is my currently active processor thing.
I anyone has any advice or help, I would truly appreciate it. I have uninstalled, and re-installed both the above driver, java, and the minecraft.exe file itself, but nothing has yet to work.
Additional Information:
-It didn't give any error prompts, just popped up, and closed back down.
-I just purchased Minecraft today, so I have yet to run it on this system.
-I've attempted two separate Javas. Both the default on the download website, and the Java SE Developement Kit 7, Windows x64.
That graphics card is old and unsupported under windows 8. Even if you would downgrade to windows 7 you would only be able to play up to version 1.7.2 of Minecraft. Your best bet is to look into getting a new PC.

At this moment in time, I'm unable to afford a new PC. Or at least, one that would likely be able to support games efficiently. However, if that is my only option, then I will begin to save up and perhaps then I will be able to fully experience PC minecraft in about 4 months or so. Until then, perhaps I'll figure out how to downgrade so at least i'll be able to play the game a little bit.
