I've moved Minecraft to a Windows 8 OS. I installed the Oracle Java 7 update 51. When I start Minecraft an error is generated.
Lack of Updated Graphics Drivers
We're worry, but it seems there was an error while trying to render aspects of the game.
To solve this error, it is recommended that you update your graphics drivers.
I've check the drivers. The Device Manager shows ATI Radeon 4300/4500 Series (Microsfot Corporation - WDDM v1.1). When I update driver and the process searches on-line, the results indicate the driver is up to date.
Below is the Minecraft crash report.

I finally figured it out. Part of my problem was that the AMD find driver page wasn't working with the version of IE I'm using. I switched to Firefox and started to get results. The following youtube video helped to keep me focused on the AMD site, working with my driver and cleaning up prior installs.
Initially I did not have the Catalyst Control Center. I installed a few software items from AMD not knowing exactly what would work because the find driver page wasn't working.
1) Used the video to uninstalled and clean up prior installs.
2) Then installed the BETA Catalyst Display Driver for my series
3) This install provided the AMD Vision Engine Control Center
4) Opened Device Manager
5) Uninstalled my driver including files
6) Detected device changes and picked up the driver (Note: the driver that is picked up should have the (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) in the display adapter name.
I used the AMD automatically detect driver as well. That process indicated I had the most up to date driver too. I think the problem was not having the AMD Vision Engine Control Center installed. And with IE not working to find my driver that caused some grief. Once I started using Firefox, I found my driver with the control center software and installed. All working now.
Now I have a problem with multi player LAN connections.
Ug!!!
Just posted that question in a separate thread.

Putting the CENDENT back in transcendent!
My driver was on the following AMD page.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows 8 - 64
I used the latest BETA version.
Initially I did not have the Catalyst Control Center. I installed a few software items from AMD not knowing exactly what would work because the find driver page wasn't working.
