Hello,
I play minecraft pretty frequently and have dealt with the few problems and bugs that come with it. But since about a month after I made my computer and started using it, I have gotten lag spikes at random times, causing me to have to restart the game only to have this happen again.
I can run minecraft on high settings at around 200 fps, very smoothly. But at what seems random times my game will freeze and unfreeze a few seconds later for about a second, then just keeps repeating. The only way to "fix" this is to restart my game. I don't think my computer hardware is the cause, and I would love to get this fixed. I'd be glad to provide any information needed to help solve this.
Some information:
I am using optifine, but this happens on a vanilla client also.
My computer specs:
-6GB of RAM
-32 Bit Operating System
-Processor- Intel 2 Quad CPU Q9300 2.50GHz, 2498 Mhz, 4 Cores
-Graphics card- NVIDIA Galaxy GeForce GT 640
-2TB SSD/HDD Hybrid
