I just can't find an answer anywhere, as any search term I use pulls up widely discussed issues that aren't relevant.
I'll put this very simply:
1: I'm in Creative Mode
2: Movement issues.
-Whenever I attempt to move on the ground, I am started and stopped (perhaps forwarded and slightly reversed) Repeatedly. It is as if I am holding a strong spring attached to a trailer whenever I attempt to walk. It slows me down, and makes the game essentially unplayable.
-Perhaps more telling is what happens when I attempt to fly. I double tap space like normal, but after a few feet or a few meters (seemingly at random) it's as if I reach the end of a bungee cord. I begin to bob repeatedly, (farther down than up every time), until I fall to the ground in a somewhat controlled flop.
-Now, at times, I can manage to gain height by quickly jumping and holding down either the left or right movement keys. At that point, once I'm in the air, I can move freely forward, backward, left, and right; just not up and down.
Now for some notes:
1: The game was just fine for ages. This only became an issue two days ago, and since then I've been searching for a solution.
2: This computer suffers absolutely no performance or reliability issues.
3: My keyboard has no stuck keys. It doesn't even have specialist drivers, as it's a Ducky Shine III. There's nothing to go wrong. Indeed, I know when a key is or has been pressed, as the key in question will illuminate more brightly indicating the event. My keyboard is not the culprit.
4: No drivers have been altered, nor any updates installed, between the point at which the game functioned normally and the point at which this happened.
5: I have installed no modifications whatsoever, nor have I ever done so. This is purely Minecraft, as downloaded, in it's latest release form.
I think I've given enough information for people to give the issue some thought. Perhaps someone will simply know what the problem is. It would seem like something that might be common, but searching for the answer on the net essentially spams me with results and threads that recount different issues.
This is one of those "I don't know what the heck to type when searching, so I'll post a thread" moments.
I have the exact same problem. All working fine and then suddenly getting these strange bobbing issues. I too have 64 bit Java only installed and I recently uninstalled MC removed all saved data, reinstalled java tna.
Interested to note you have a Ducky as well, I do too. I might try using the old PS2 keyboard I had previously just too eliminate that.

It can't be the keyboard. If it was, every USB keyboard on the market would eventually present the same issues. I've also been using this keyboard for quite some time with no issues in Minecraft. It's something else, especially when you consider that no keyboard command will cause the character to behave in any of these manners.
A Ducky may be a great keyboard, and one of the best, but to Windows, it's nothing special at all. The fact that we both have Ducky models is simply a matter of probability. We both play Minecraft, and we both browse these forums for interesting issues; thus, it is highly probable that we are computer enthusiasts, and are therefore likely to own nice keyboards.
If you plug in that PS2 keyboard and the issue dissappears, it's a Minecraft problem related to USB keyboards in general, not a keyboard problem. It can't be.
I decided to have a look on the Ducky website after posting and noticed there was a firmware update section. I updated the firmware and hey presto, problem sorted. I appreciate we may have different problems manifesting themselves in the same way and it may not be specific to the firmware as I noticed that Windows rediscovered the keyboard and reinstalled the driver. But for me that sorted it. Have a go, it can't hurt to check.
as I noticed that Windows rediscovered the keyboard and reinstalled the driver.
That's what I was wondering, after mentioning USB keyboards in general; if it could be an issue with generic drivers that simply need to be refreshed. I've got the latest firmware, but I'll have the keyboard rediscovered and see what happens.

OS: Windows 7 64
Java: Was latest 32. I just changed to latest 64 for fun. The issue remains the same.
