This is the error I am receiving after downloading the latest version of the launcher!
I would appreciate if someone would fix this!

The problem is on your computer, so you will have to fix it.
The permissions in your appdata user profile could be wrong, or your antivirus could be either blocking minecraft from accessing the file it is trying to download, or your antivirus could just be blocking minecraft while it is scanning the newly downloaded file.
I would start with the last possibility first. If you tell your antivirus not to scan .minecraft the problem may go away. (had this problem with Quicken before).

No I only marked "Indentity Protection"*Identity ProtectionI added the Minecraft LAUNCHER not the..minecraft FOLDER.
It would tell me to select a folder INSIDE it to add as an exception not the whole.minecraft folder
No... I only added the Minecraft Launcher and NOT the folder because it wouldn't let me select the whole folder of.minecraft and only something in it.
I ticked only Identity Protection and not the other two...
How do you add .minecraft as a folder?
