Me and a buddy were playing on a server that I host today. While we were playing, the power went out in my house. When it came back on and I booted the server, I got an error and the server tried to generate a new world. Now there is NO WAY we are giving up our old world, we've worked for hours on it and we just defeated the Ender Dragon tonight and are/were getting very excited about building an Enderman farm.
Thing is, all the original files are still there in the world folder I had set up for the server, but I don't know what to change/remove to get it back to normal (If it's not just corrupted beyond recovery, which would be... bad).
Here's the log from the time I ran the server:

The "level2.dat" in there requires some explanation:
I saw the "level.dat_old" file and figured that was for the old world. So I moved the level.dat out of the folder and renamed "level.dat_old" to regular "level.dat". It didn't work, when I ran the server again there was once again a "level.dat_old". So I renamed the "level.dat" to "level2.dat" And moved the ORIGINAL "level.dat" back into the folder. At this point I'm not sure if it renamed my "level.dat" or if it created a new "level.dat_old", so I kept both just for reference. I wish I knew more about this stuff, I've probably already ruined my chances at restoring the world by messing with it...
Hopefully someone knows how to restore my world again. You know I'll be keeping backups from now on... arrgh... Thanks in advance.
(PS: Yeah, my first post, yay. Made a new account just to fix this problem, but I might actually be back to post now and then, so, nice to meet you all!)
EDIT: I dunno how active this forum is, but the world folder is still uploading as I type this, it says 15 minutes remaining. So if you can't download it, that's why.
EDIT2: Dropbox was lying to me, but I made it work. Sorry about that. it's online now.
Your link does not seem to work even now after some hours, I have been trying since 10 mins after you posted until now 5 hour later.
I noticed that, Dropbox was giving me issues uploading it (Seems it's been giving a lot of people issues lately)... After rebooting my computer it uploaded just fine. Sorry about that. Thanks for trying. xp
(That is to say it's online now, Dropbox had been lying to me before, haha.)

First of it.
The player "ShreddedAxe" File was corrupted. (I have to remove them)
U world now working fine. (Test it for 1/2 Hour flying around.)
Thank you!! Really quite a shame still, ShreddedAxe was the friend I was playing with, and he was in the middle of building something. xD Hopefully he didn't lose too many items, but we have plenty of spares (This is an end-game world, thank goodness). I'll be sure to test it right away.
EDIT: So I've tested it, and it's still loading the "new" world (birch trees and the ocean close by). When the power cut off before, I was in the Nether and wearing diamond armor. Also, the spawn chunks should be full of buildings and such. The files in there were running fine for me, but it isn't the right world. Hope that makes sense.
Is it possible to restore my old world, or has this new one overwritten it?

Its the right world but u a little bit away from u buildings.
Put this in u player folder and u are at u tavern in center of the other buildings.
Oh, I see! Strange. When I loaded it I didn't have any items and I couldn't see anything, so I just assumed it was the new world. Losing my items is a small price to pay if I can recover the actual world (I had just lost all of my GOOD items in The End anyway, so I was using spare armor and tools). I'll test it again.
EDIT: Okay, so it looks like I've simply lost my items again, shoot. But I am indeed in my old world, thank you! Guess I must've panicked when I saw an unfamiliar place and me having no items. I completely believed it had started a new world over my old one!
So much relief... We just started a Creative server tonight though, lol! Guess we can switch back and fourth depending on what mode we wanna play. Anyway, thank you again! I'm sure everyone knows how terrible it is/would be to lose all that hard work, especially during the process of actually working on it lol.
