This is so frustrating, My character is getting hungry faster than normal. My husband and I play on multi player survival mode hard difficulty and we can eat the same foods, at the same time, go AFK on a full stomach for 15 minutes and when we come back my husband is only down a couple food bars and I am dead from starvation. I have tried eating different foods to see if this will help and nothing works. I have uninstalled and re-installed and again, nothing changes. Please help.
I have tested this a little more and I ate nothing but steak, stood still, not moving the mouse at all and starved to death in 6.5 minutes. Any input would be helpful.
Side note - my husband stood next to me in the game and his hunger stayed full during this time. We play SMP hard.
I have searched the forums and cannot find anything remotely close to this issue.

Have u try to delete Minecraft and re download it. (Simplest is to go in u minecraft folder and there in the versions folder and delete the version folder u playing. (Ass an exampel the "1.7.2" folder)
