Hello! Earlier today I was experiencing a problem with Chunk Updating. I was getting around 50 FPS and 100-300 Chunk Updates for some odd reason (keep in mind this was in a superflat world). I messed around with the settings, but nothing worked, so I killed the Squids I had found in my flowing water pool, updated Java, and it was working fine.
Now I'm getting 120 FPS in any world and around 20 Chunk Updates. But for some reason I'm getting a weird stutter. It's hardly noticeable, but I've been used to running smoothly at around 120 FPS, so I'm about going crazy trying to play. It is an extremely small stutter and, like I said, hardly noticeable, but I'd like to fix it.
Before you suggest anything to try, here's things I'd like to say I tried:
-Turning on/off VSync. Turning it off helps, but it doesn't completely stop the stuttering.
-Installing OptiFine. For some reason made it worse, but I'm trying to use 14w08a, so it's not gonna help much.
-Reinstalling Java. To clear things up, I AM using a 64 bit Java.
-Restarting Computer. Not sure exactly why that would help, but I did it anyway.
My computer is about two months one day old.
Specs, if you need them:
OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz
Memory: 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Hard Drive: 1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M Graphics
