I just tried to log in to a local server to play with a buddy, who uses the same Mojang account as I do, but not the same profile. The login attempt failed, and my copy of Minecraft said "That name is already taken." Please help me!

You cannot join a LAN game with the same Mojang account. You must use different accounts.
