So I've started a new minecraft world and I loved it so far. Loads of diamonds, tools, perfect place, already built some small decorative structures (Pond are with hedges, fountains, etc.)
Finally decided to start working on my gigantic house.
went to collect wood a chunk or two away from my bed. started collecting, then all of a sudden the blocks started lagging.
I'd break some wood, but i'd have to wait a second until it drops, which didnt happen before.
decided to rejoin
and this is where the problem starts:
I press on the world from the start screen, starts loading, building terrain, then boots me back to the menu screen again (multiplayer, singleplayer, languages, settings, etc.)
I also noticed that if I wait a few minutes it does load the world, but only on that one chunk near the forest I was in.
there's a zombie, chicken, and skeletons too, but they're not responsive. and so are the blocks. I can break them but they dont drop.
and like I said, it only loads one chunk, and nothing else all around me.
Any idea on what happened or how I can fix it? PLEASE?
probably my favorite minecraft world so far, loads of supplies, the area I'm making stuff is perfect, etc.
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
You may also need to remove entities from the map, follow these steps. Warning: This will delete any and all entities in the selected region, including tamed animals! Open the map in MCEdit, select the affected region or use CTRL-A to select the whole world, then click on 'Delete Entities' in the menu on the left hand side.
To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS.
