After Windows Vista decided to go belly up on me, I installed Windows 7 on my laptop. I went to the Dell driver page but noticed the graphics drivers didn't support 7, so I got the latest Intel Express Chipset 965 drivers from Intel's website. Downloaded Minecraft 1.7.4 and launched it. As soon as it showed the Mojang logo, it crashed with a fatal Java error about failing to write core dump (full error log below). After reading around, i discovered that if I run Minecraft in 400x300 resolution, it works fine. As soon as I maximize it, or use the fullscreen option, it crashes. Minecraft 1.7.2 works perfectly in all resolutions. 1.7.4 also worked fine in Vista as I used to play it for hours. Any help would be appreciated, I've tried everything I know.

Do you know why it worked fine in Vista and this only started happening when I upgraded to 7? Also, my laptop stays hooked up to a 1080p HDTV as a monitor, and I've discovered if I lower my output resolution to the TV, I can play Minecraft fullscreen without any problems. I keep my resolution at 1080x720 since it looks best to me. Minecraft will crash if fullscreened at this resolution. If i set it to 1024x768 I can play Minecraft fullscreen without any problems at all (it doesn't even warn me about an old graphics card like it used to). Any higher resolution will crash it. Do you know why this happens?
