first of hello and ty in advance for trying to help me with this problem, my old computer used to work fine but eventually started to give me the same error and i ended up getting frustrated and giving up, and now i have recently got a new computer and i am having the same problem all over again, it happens anytime i try and either host a local lan game or try to connect to one my roomate has hosted or another friend has hosted on our network. anytime we try to connect to each other we get the error:
Java.net.connect.exception:Connection refused;no further information;
i have tried disabling our firewalls and anti-virus on all computers hosting and trying to connect, to no avail, i have on the off chance it has to do with port forwarded like with a server doiuble checked my port was still forwarded from when i used to run a tekkit server that workd a couple of years ago, anyways long and short of it is no is able to connect and its frustrating the hell out of me, i'm gonna post my dxddiag, as well just realized i forgot to mention we are using the ipv4 address of the host to connect, which unless i'm mistaken is the one we use to connect with, i'll feel really stupid if we're using the wrong address to connect via lan party lol
thanks in advance for any help, i'm really hoping i can get this fixed, its been very frustratingjust realized i forgot the last number of the version of minecraft i'm using its 1.7.4 sorry for any confusion it might have caused
