I hope someone can help as my son will be very disappointed.
I have just recently built a new computer and have installed the latest Minecraft version and it works fine except when you arrive in a world there are no blocks only sky. You can look and move around but the blocks are invisible, you can even destroy them.
The specs of the computer are AMD A10 7850k CPU; 2 x 4Gb 2400 RAM; AMD 250 OC (set for dual graphics with the GPU on the APU chip); Samsing SSD 120GB ; Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Because of the new chip I need to run the latest Beta driver from AMD so am concerned it may be related and will be reluctant to roll-back the driver.
I have over clocked both the IGPU and CPU a little bit.
I have tried with both Java 1.7 51 32 and 64 bit with no difference.
Can any one suggest a course of action to get this working?
thanks for the response. I tried optifine and played around with the setting but no luck. I also went into the AMD Catalyst Control centre and forced everything off including the Dual graphics so it was just running on the GPU. I think I will try rolling back the Catalyst drivers back to a release build rather than the beta, just to see if that works.
Just found the answer http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=386289 . Looks like the Catalyst Beta driver is not compatable with Minecraft so just locate some old driver dlls and put them in the Java bin.
