I play in a vanilla minecraft world i made and have been using it for a year or so and have encountered no problems. I made a mob grinder that was working perfectly when a wild creeper blew up in my face. When i respawned and fixed my grinder i wasnt getting any drops or hearing any mobs. I always play on hard and NO mobs have spawned since. I have changed the difficulty settings, logged out then back in, forced quit and all the quick fix stuff. PLEASE HELP!
If you have a render distance of < 10, it can severely reduce mob spawns.
If the mob farm has a spawner, make sure it is dark inside and the spawner wasn't destroyed.
