I am getting this error message occasionally on my server which I have never gotten before:
java.io.IOException: An Existing Connection was Forcibly Closed by the Remote Host.
When trying to log in after that, I get this message:
java.net.ConnectionException: Connection timed out: no further information:
After this occurs, I will not be able to log into this one particular server for awhile. When I ping it with my cmd, the read times out. I cannot even log into the remote desktop. Meanwhile, the server is up for everyone else.
Additional Information:
I have a brother logged into the same server in the same house that I am. Could these connections be interfering with each other?
This is a big issue right now - I have gone through multitude of troubleshooting steps and have been on many forums looking for a resolution to no avail. The reason you cannot connect to the server for a while is because it crashed, it is not available until the admin/host restarts it. As far as I can tell, something within the Java 1.7.0_51 is disagreeing with some settings on various PC's. This is not an issue for everyone as I can run a server on my box, but on a dedicated box this is an issue.
What Version of Win are you on - the more specs about your PC the better...
Win7
No Anti Virus [ Strict group policies setup and backed up should it get hit ever]
Java 1.7.0_51 (Released in January)
Minecraft 1.7.5 (Has been an issue since 1.7.4 Mid January)
4 GB RAM - 2 allocated for Minecraft
2 TB Hard Drive space (unlimited avail for MC)
Small server - folder size is just over 1GB with no more than 4 concurrent players (11 white listed)

I am new to this community - is there a way to list Duplicates or group complaints (Do the Mods do that)
Here is another Ticket/Issue posted about this very issue...and I am sure there are more.
I get this when I try connecting with my launcher (to my own server running on the same machine:
[23:43:29] [Server thread/INFO]: [email protected][id=<null>,name=
Bruiser, properties={},legacy=false] (/192.168.0.14:60121) lost connection: Internal Except
ion: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
This is the message in my cmd when I ran the server. My client just closes... Anyone know what is going on here?

Curse PremiumIn Control Panel> Windows Firewall (How to get there varies), see if you can add an exception for Java (SE) Platform Binary.
