I play on my family's 7.
Whatever I do It always hangs around 5frames per second(I know 'cause I make stop motions)
V sync off view bobbing on Server textures off minimap levels off render 8 chunks.
Please help!
1. set distance render to minimum
2. set to "fast graphics"
3. make sure Minecraft is the only thing running
4. view bobbing off
5. set smooth lighting off
6. set clouds off
7. set anisotropic filtering off
8. set 3D anaglyph off
Enabling Advanced OpenGL might help substantially depending on your computer's specs. If this doesn't work you can allocate Minecraft more memory (RAM) which has a chance of helping, to do so:
1. Open the MC Launcher and select "Edit Profile"
2. Select JVM Arguments
3. In the box which has been opened up type -Xmx#G (the # being the number of Gbs of memory you wish to allocate)
4. Save the profile and run minecraft to check for improvement
Note however that this isn't something which is usually necessary, only allocate less than half your available system memory as this can cause some issues.
A good method which a lot of people use regardless of whether they have FPS issues is to install the Optifine mod, this is brilliant at streamlining the graphics side of minecraft.

At least 86% of what I say is always correct.
