Hi. I saw a you tube video that showed that you can change the minimum amout of fps. I followed the steps :
Go to your .minecraft folder
Find Options File
Change Fps limit from 0 to 30
save and play minecraft

other people in the comments said this worked, but for me it did nothing. does anyone know how to fix it ?

All this does it is raise the FPS limiter (that you can change in the game options), it does not raise minimum FPS.
