i have played minecraft for more than a year now, but now every time i get on, all the minecraft versions that iv'e tried (even the 1.8 snapshots) when i try a server i cant see any people or blocks! they are allinvisible! i'm guessing they arent being rendered! no one seems to have this problam! i reinstalled java, reinstalled minecraft, I reinstalled Windows and Formated The Hard Drive! please help me! here are my laptops specs:
I have this same problem! I have it Windows 8.1 Pro x64. I've tried it with the new version of java (7 update 50) and reverted to 7 update 45 and it still doesn't work. Loading in a new texture pack doesn't work either.
My rig:
i7 3770k
8GB 2200MHz
HD7950 Crossfire
Using the newest AMD beta drivers.
Nothing has changed (to my knowledge) has changed about my PC except for the new java update.
I deleted the whole contents of /appdata/roamin/.minecraft and it didn't help.
i got it to work! if you installed the latest beta amd driver then YOU NEED to do this. the beta driver is bugy so there are things wrong with it but to get the right drivers for your computer so minecraft will work again do this
go here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
just enter in your computers specs and get the 13.12 driver (NOTE! Uninstall your otther amd amd stuff before installing! by going to control panell and searching "add or remove" then click add or remove programs and uninstall the AMD install manager and go through that and then the uninstalling is done!.) then open the driver you downloaded, and it will give you an option to download the real catylist manager driver (over 200MB) download it!(i downloaded it to downloads folder) after its done open it and you will install all of your amd stuff (usb 3.0, display, graphics, ect) after you can reboot but you don't need to then open minecraft and it works! feel free to copy and paste this so other people can fix their minecraft (if they have amd) as well!
