Hello all
I recently went on my world and all of my items were deleted. First it was just my inventory and ender chest but then I went back on and all of the stuff in my chests and hoppers were gone as well. All of my stuff was gone except for the two chests at my zombie spawner. Does anyone have an idea why this would happen? I recently uploaded a skin that i made for the first time, and i have been switching between snapshots and 1.7.4 to play multiplayer, could this have anything to do with it? Thanks guys
This would be the cause. The snapshots changed how item data is stored, and since this is incompatible with 1.7.4, the game can no longer read it, hence it being deleted.

Ohhh ok is there anyway to avoid this in the future besides not switching between snapshots? Would a backed up world do it or should i just make sure i dont log in with the wrong update on

Yeah, a backup would work just fine.
