I always play Minecraft with a small window size to try reduce the frame drops because when I put it full screen the game seems to slow down even more, and so to try reduce this as much as possible I play with a small window.
My in-game settings are:
Render Distance - Medium (And lower)
Graphics - Fast
Smooth Lighting - Off
Music - Off
Bobbing - Off
I normally get from 18 - 25 FPS max. I also turn down the render distance to tiny at times to reduce it even more, although it does increase it by 20 FPS more it stops me from wanting to play because I can't enjoy the game with such a low render distance. I have also tried downloading older versions of Minecraft which have fewer blocks the game has to generate meaning that in theory it should speed up my game but I have had little to no luck. Things I haven't yet mentioned are having installed the 64-bit version of Java as well as the normal version. Both Java installations are also up to date. My game is also unmodified (vanilla). My computer is only 2 months old and I shut down all programs before launching the game. The game seems to take up 30% of my CPU when running on average.
Finally I would also like to state that I am aware that my computer isn't the best but it has 4 CPU's, 4GB RAM and a decent graphics card, I think it should be running abit better than it is. If anyone could help me it would be really appreciated
Thanks in advance
