Normally, Minecraft runs on my laptop fine. No lag, even with other programs like iTunes running and on fullscreen with a far render distance.
As of yesterday, I played for about an hour or two, and my laptop was doing this weird glitch thing that is a separate problem (everything begins running, literally, in slow motion), and the fan was running on high. I got the Windows 8 restart screen, and when it restarted these were the files it said it had problems in:
I thought that it was a physical memory issue, but that makes no sense because it used to run just fine, and nothing has changed. Ever since it crashed the once I can't play for more than one minute before it restarts my laptop.
Does that mean it's corrupted or something? I used a seed, if that makes any difference. I've never used a seed before, so.
Is it fixable? I was doing pretty freakin awesome, I'd love to save it if I could.
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
You may also need to remove entities from the map, follow these steps. Warning: This will delete any and all entities in the selected region, including tamed animals! Open the map in MCEdit, select the affected region or use CTRL-A to select the whole world, then click on 'Delete Entities' in the menu on the left hand side.
To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS.
