Hi guys. I recently updated my computer from windows 8 to Windows 8.1. After doing so I can't run Minecraft. I've tried various times but not even the launcher will open. When I double click it just has the loading icon on the cursor for a second and then it disappears. I've gone into the .minecraft folder to check if there is a crash report or something that can help me out but there's nothing.
I tried to completely re-install Minecraft but that didn't help at all. If you guys could help it would be awesome. By the way, I'm running on a HP Pavilion 500-027c. Please remove all versions of Java from the machine via the control panel. Reboot then grab the latest 64-bit version here, http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
