So last night I was getting on my laptop to play Minecraft 1.7.4. I opened up the launcher and pressed play. It showed the Mojang logo but froze there for like 5 minutes. So I decided to x out of it, but when I did, it said Java SE Binary not responding. So I exed out of that and tried it again. Same thing happened. If anyone could please post on this if your having the same problem or you know the solution. I also tried it today and it let me on. I had a texture pack on and I went into SkyDoesMinecraft's server. I stayed there for probably 2 minutes and then it crashed. I then decided to turn OFF the texture pack. It lasted longer but it still crashed.
To make sure the launcher stays open: click "Edit Profile", then check "Launcher Visibility", select "Keep Launcher Open" and finally hit "Save Profile".
Next play the game, and wait until you get the 'freezing' issue.
When that happens go to the minecraft launcher, switch to the "Development Console" tab, and copy all the text with Control + A then Control + C.
