so i've just bought a new laptop. its a toshiba with an i7 2.40 gHz processor, Nvidia geforce GT 740M graphics card.
i transferred my world over to this laptop and now everytime i load it i can play for about 5-10 mins before the block lag starts getting worse and worse until its unplayable. also when i quit out in frustration Norton antivirus (free trial with the laptop) says that Java has been using 100% of my processor. i've checked and my java is the latest version. my graphics card drivers are also up to date.
when i start a new world i seem to be able to play fine. certainly longer than i can play my saved game for.
i did have some chunk errors also that i fixed with MC edit. and am wondering if i've just got a corrupted game file, and if so can i fix it.
