So, I'm getting a weird system crash when I play Minecraft. I have no idea what's causing it. The system doesn't bluescreen, I don't get a bugcheck or a memory dump to examine, nothing shows up in the event log besides "your system was shut down improperly", and I'm not noticing any temperature spikes when it happens. My drivers are all up to date, and the crashes have happened across multiple OS's.
What happens is randomly, when I'm playing, all sound and graphics will cut out, and while I can still hear my computer running, nothing actually happens and I have to restart my computer.
This game and Torchlight II are the only ones that cause this. Every other game that I've played works fine, and I have an extensive list on Steam. (Heck, I can max out games like Guild Wars 2, full graphics, and stay above 30 FPS, no issue.)
Specs:
OS: Windows 8.1(though, for the record, it also happened on seperate installs of Windows 7 and Windows 8.)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k
RAM: 8GB
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 560ti 448-core - NewEgg link
As I said, drivers are up to date, but considering this has been happening for months, probably over a year now, and I've been through multiple driver versions, I'm just not sure what's going on.

Does anyone have any ideas?
