I have been playing multiplayer with my friends until today. For whatever reason, our multiplayer server crashed and we lost our world. There was a way to retrieve the world, but since we only get buildings back, we decided to start a new world/server.
Again, using hamachi, and me being the host, I started a new server and created a world. However, my friends couldn't log into my world for some reason. They received an error message:
Failed to connect to the server,
java.ne.connectexcpetion: connection time out: no further information:
This is the error message all of us received (we changed hosts for the hamachi servers, re installed java, rebooted the computer multiple times)
This was getting us no where, so rather than using hamachi as a server, we decided to do lan. I created a room in single player, opened it up as a lan game, and gave the # on the bottom left (i think it was port? 5####). They did see the world I opened on multiplayer, but couldn't log in; the same error messaged popped up! I made them try doing to direct connect, using our ipv4 (i think that was ir of v3) 190.###..... thing and did the 190.##########:5#### thingy too but they were unable to access the lan game too!
Me and my friends are really frustrated right now because we just bought the game yesterday, played all day yesterday, but the stupid server crashed and we can't login to lan or other server games!
Please help us enjoy minecraft before we request a refund.... meh
