Hey all,
I'm pretty new to Minecraft but ran into an issue with the mouse/video fps that I cant figure out.
I recent built a new beefy pc (i7, etc etc) and have been playing Minecraft on it but the video and mouse arent up to par. Standing still and looking around in game, the movement is smooth but the fps arent the greatest, it will give an eye strain after a while (changing max frame rate doesnt appear to have much effect). However, while moving/running the mouse tends to stop working for brief moments, making the mouse movement very jittery. If I am running and try to steer around obstacles, I find I have to repeatedly skate the mouse to look in the intended direction.
I have read about hitting F8 for mouse smoothing..this does little to nothing.
I know it is not a lack of pc hardware, it plays on my bro's laptop and my laptop smoothly without issue and they are older laptops. I am, however, using an Anker gaming mouse with 4 DPI profiles. I have to use the 2 lowest DPI profiles while gaming (150-250 DPI at 1000Hz polling rate) otherwise its way too sensitive.
Ive had similar issues to this with Ace of Spades, dont remember if that was ever solved, but never with any other games of mine.
Is this more of an in-game issue, or are my mouse settings not fully supported by the game engine?
Not looking to do a lot of poking-and-hoping and making things worse, quite yet, so if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
