So I played Minecraft version 1.6 in the summer when it released, because I was excited about the horses finally being out. I have saved files containing horses.
I've been playing on the xbox360 and ps3 ever since for trophys. So now Im trying to play it again, for the newer better computer versions, and the launcher will not update, it wont even let me play. I click "play" and i get a blue bar slide across the screen, but when it finishes, nothing has changed.
Ive been watching videos for the past 2 and a half hours trying to figure out if I'm the only one with this problem. and I seem to be. Ive even re downloaded the launcher several times. Still cant get on. I downloaded the old launcher and i suddenly have v1.5.2 on that. But the new launcher is an older version. Can anyone suggest anything??
Note that the launcher version(1.3.9), and the game version(1.7.4) are two different things.
To change your game to a different version, start the launcher. Select Edit Profile. In the "Use Version" dropdown menu, select the game version you want. Then click Save Profile.
Ok, I had seen that option previously but it wasnt letting me save the changes. This time it did. But the blue bar was incredibly slow loading, then nothing happened when it finished. I quit the launcher and re opened it. Checked the "edit profile" it says "use version" 1.7.4 (so it stuck) and I'm trying to play again. It's going slow. I still have a feeling that theres a bigger problem than this.
