Well, this isn't an issue as much as I'm just looking for help . I ususally don't get very high FPS but when I change my smooth lighting level my FPS jumps to 40-50 does anyone know what causes this or how to simulate this to get higher FPS?
Does it do this while your in the menu and then go back to normal when you re-enter the game? If your answer is yes, I'm sorry to tell you, but your out of luck.
When you enter the menu, the game stops processing the surrounding world because the game is paused, but when you re-enter it has to begin this processing all over again to move the animals etc. Everyone experiences this, even I have got 30 fps in the menu on my 13 year old PC while only 5-8 in the actual game. Your menu will always run faster than the actual game will.

At least 86% of what I say is always correct.
