I bought the game about 30 mins ago, I downloaded the minecraft.exe from minecraft.net but It won't get me log in. This is the first time I would play minecraft btw. Help please. I
Yes, a majority of Minecraft is down for maintenance at the moment. You will be fine by tomorrow, I would hope. 1.3.9 is the browser version, and 1.7.4 is the current game version. The browser can access all game versions, btw.
I'm not sure what maintenance is happening, but you should be good to go as long as you downloaded it from the mojang website.

my minecraft launcher says it's 1.3.9
but I've been seeing 1.7++ in here
