Ok, so I updated Java with the most recent update and when I tried to play minecraft it said that I needed to have Java 1.6.0 on there, when I already have the most up to date version running. Can somebody help me please?
You're not giving us enough information to work with.
As a general rule of thumb, remove all versions of Java from the machine. Reboot, then grab the latest one available here, http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Please install the 64-bit version if you have a 64-bit system. You may need to remove Java using JavaRA.
