So im not entirely sure that this even goes in this forum, but anyway, months ago i installed minecraft forge. Because at the time this was my dad's computer, there were hundreds of other files on that computer. Stupid me decided to make a new account on the computer and migrate minecraft to that account. Big mistake. I deleted the account, but minecraft wouldn't stop crashing. i fixed it, but Minecraft Forge was somehow purged from the system in the process. I forgot about, and now that there are some cool new mods, I was thinking of trying it again. One problem- THE MINECRAFT.JAR FILE HAS DISAPPEARED!!! I need to know where it's gone and how to get it back. I have an iMac OSX v. 10.6.8. Btw I already looked in finder and can't find it anywhere. Help!
Update: I don't know if Macs are supposed to have .minecraft folders, but I don't. I also don't have a bin folder!
So, Minecraft.jar... that was gone a while ago. 1.6.1 I believe. Forge now has an installer, making everyone's life easier. Go ahead and backup your minecraft folder (I am on a mac as well) and then delete it. Get the forge installer from the normal page, and let it do its magic. From there, open your folder, place any valuable worlds in the worlds folder, then open up minecraft. A mods folder appears... and you probably know what happens next.
I really hope I helped, kinda seems like you quit minecraft for a while, so I thought you needed to be up to speed on forge.

Curse Premium~ being your home folder. Anyway, the newer versions of Forge allow you to just double-click on the jar file that gets downloaded and click "Install".
