i am connected to internet when i launch mincraft it only appears to play offline what can i do

We need to see what is in your Development Console, which can be found on the second tab of the launcher.
First, copy all of the text: right-click on the text, then click 'Copy All Text'. Finally, paste it in spoiler tags in a reply for us to see.
