Updated java and minecraft doesn't launch? Please help!

Hello, I just updated my Java to its latest version, and when i tried to start Minecraft, this terrible thing popped up:
How do i fix this or downgrade my java? And please, in English. I don't speak code.

Possibly a corrupt Java installation, try re installing it again. If that doesn't work I have no idea what to do.

Would i re-install it just by going to the java website, downloading it, and running the installer?
