So recently, while cleaning out a spare room in my house, I came across my old laptop with what I believe to be my original Minecraft world from 2010.
After putting the world file onto a flash drive and transferring it over to this computer, I put it into my saves folder just how you would when installing a world downloaded from the internet (double checked tutorials to be sure). I double checked it to make sure it was in the folder, but when I opened up my Minecraft, it wasn't there in my world selection. I even created a new profile with an empty save folder to make sure I wasn't losing it in the clutter. But after dropping it into that save folder, it still wasn't available to play.
MC has changed save formats several times over the years. You'll have to use the launcher to create a profile for a version of minecraft around that era. http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/McRegion Beta 1.3 changed to the McRegion format so try that next after loading it in something earlier like Beta 1.2.
However it seems that it was not my first ever world, so it seems to be gone (though i might have to dig deeper and I might find if on the other computer), but thats my fault lol.
Thanks

Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks!
