So thanks to Mojang's brilliant idea to no longer use item ID's (instead of just adding 0's to the front for plugins) I have no idea how to find half the block names. The tab to fill works about half the time since block names are only sometimes related to what they are called in the tooltip. Naming conventions are not remotely consistent. I have Spruce_Stairs, but planks no idea. I've tried every possible combination of wood, plank or spruce and pressing tab to find nothing.
So yeah this is more of a rant, but I'm absolutely furious that have to make a forum post to find out how to have spruce planks in a command block. Maybe it will get easier when 1.8 is out, but it's still an absolute pain.
They're *trying* to get it to work consistently; hopefully it'll get better :-)
I agree, it's currently well-confusing right now.
Thanks, I didn't know the meta tag worked for that, I thought it was only rotation. I of course knew that 5:1 is how you would do spruce in world edit, as well as dozens of other codes I've memorized. Also a better format that what mojang is trying to implement.
