Be more specific. Does just the launcher freeze or does the entire computer freeze? If the entire computer freezes, can you still move the mouse, or does it stay still on the screen?

Minecraft is a very laggy game if you dont have a powerful computer. Before entering a world go to options on the title screen and go to video settings and edit them. Minecraft wont look as good but it will be playable
