I haven't played minecraft in a while so my version is way out of date and needs to be updated. I am currently on version 1.4.5 (or at least thats what it says in the main menu). When I click on "force update" the text on that button changes to "will force" and nothing happens. I really want to get my minecraft updated, could someone tell me how to make this work?
You need to get a new launcher from minecraft.net There's no such feature as force update anymore. Now there exist 'profiles' that can specify exactly what version of minecraft you want to run.
