I'm not sure if this is an issue or just something I've never encountered. But I've only recently started playing the game often, actually owned since beta or so, and just gotten deep into the mines.

i always play in survival mode. I've noticed that sometimes when I mine certain ores I don't get any ore from them. Such as gold, redstone and diamond. I broke three diamond blocks and only got one diamond ore from them, I broke about six blocks of gold and got nothing, same results with some redstone too. i get the ore sometimes but not everytime. Is this normal? Like flint? or is this a bug that I'm encountering.

Are you using a Iron pick?

I am using an Iron Pick. just got a diamond pick tonight.

Gold Redstone and Diamond all need a Iron or Diamond pickaxe to mine them, if you are mining any of the three mentioned ores with a Wood Stone or Gold pickaxe than the ore will drop nothing, if you are mining the three ores with a Diamond or Iron pick and still not getting the ore than It's a glitch.

Thanks. it's possible that with some of them I could've been using a stone pick. i'll have to be more careful next time.
