So I've run into a dilemma.Since last week, whenever I try to run minecraft, nothing happens. I've tried deleting everything minecraft on my computer(including the entire .minecraft), uninstalling and reinstalling java, and setting windows so it runs minecraft in compatibility mode for windows 7. Still, there is no change in the result. To make sure of this, whenever I test minecraft I have task manager open.
My computer is not slow, as before this I got a smooth 50 fps with no lag spikes. I am running windows 7 64-bit. Let me know if I need to specify anything.

Hi,
You need to reinstall Java.
First, go to the Programs and Features section in Control Panel (Add and Remove Programs on XP).
Uninstall everything that says Java in the name.
Then, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to re-install Java.
It still isn't working.
Are there any other options?
