My Minecraft runs perfectly smooth and the controls are heavenly. But when I tried to stream, it lagged big time (5 FPS) and the controls were screwed up. I can't fix this and I cant find anything on the internet that can help me. Anyone help?
My internet is good and the fact that when I'm not streaming Minecraft and everything else runs perfectly that I think I have a good PC. What's Xsplit and OBS?
So you ARE streaming with twitch integration. Xsplit and OBS (Open Broadcast Software) are programs for streaming. I use Xsplit premium for streaming, but OBS is as good and free. Twitch integration tends to lag the game because java is handling the game AND the streaming, by using an external software java only plays the game and the Xsplit/OBS does the streaming.
But for confirmation, what are your connection results at http://www.speedtest.net/ and what are your PC specifications?
your connection is good, and any processor with at least 2GhZ should be able to stream and play with minecraft with low demand video settings. 64 bit means you ahve at least 4gb ram. You should be fine to stream if you get Xsplit or OBS.
If you can see your game on stream preview and ahve your microphone set up properly, yes, you should be able to stream. Post your stream here if you want so I can go check it out.
Open your minecraft. Right click on the sources square and select game capture, give it a name, then select [javaw] minecraft x.x.x, that should make it appear. I suggest playing with minecraft maximized if using obs, just make sure you have another way to see your chat, if not, just play windowed and mess around at edit scene.
I think I'll just give up on it. The preview keeps freezing, and it wont fix my original problem- it still lags horrifically. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
