For the past couple of days I have been experiencing a problem. It seem whenever i click play on the minecraft launcher, it doesn't start. It just shows a loading bar and the play button is greyed out. After a couple of seconds, nothing happens. The play button is back to normal with no error or game.
I have tried the following;
1) Update Java to version 7_45 (downloaded directly from website)
2) Delete mincraft folder and unistall java. Then reinstall java and then try launch minecraft (still the same problem)
3) Uninstalled my Anti virus and disabled firewall, and then try (still nuthing)
4) Created a New windows user and then tried launching minecraft, still same problem.
5) Restarted the router and still nothing
6) Reinstalled Windows and still nothing
7) I even Installed Windows with nothing but Java, but i still got the same problem
My computer spec should be more then enough to handle the game since i was playing minecraft on it before.
The Laptop Spec are:
Just an Updated: After installing windows 7, 3 times, i found that the problem was with my DNS. Apparently my ISP DNS was somehow blocking access to the minecraft website.
Anyways If anybody is experiencing a similar problem, I suggest try changing your computer or router DNS and see if it solves that download problem.
Even my technic Launcher started downloading modpacks.
For windows 7 just follow the instructions below. For other Operating system, search on google.
