Hi,
I've just download the latest version (1.7.4) which uses the new launcher. Every time I run it I need to go through an "unknown publisher" popup and then enter administrator credentials. Since I'm running this on an unsecure account, this is pretty annoying. Is it possible to get rid of this nuisance?
Please don't tell me to uncheck the "always ask" box because it doesn't work for "unknown publisher"...
Thanks,
Zongi
For mac, you could make it so it ignores the fact that minecraft isn't signed, but the new launcher should be signed, but perhaps it doesn't think mojang's signature is legit... Anyway, If you have admin credentials, just make a secure account.
For windows, Why not just make a secure login, and use that? If you have admin credentials, just make a password protected windows account for yourself, and problem solved.

The thing is, I'm the admin but I installed this for my son. His account is restricted and I don't want to give him admin permissions. According to Windows, minecraft.exe isn't signed. It's not that the certificate isn't recognized as legit - there just isn't a certificate. I must admit it's a bit strange that it isn't signed, but there's no way to contact Mojang about this...
I believe, when you access the properties menu (select file>right click>click properties on the bottom of the list), you'll see unblock on the bottom. I'm not exactly sure though
